Hostile a genius, MoB evolves!

Posted by uk8Ball^- on the 6th of September 2008 at 11:16 AM in Team News.   9 Comments

Today, two of the United States most successful CS teams of late announce changes. The changes involve us EG.usa and us MoB gaming.

us Shaun "Hostile" Catron, a veteran of the scene makes the transition from MoB Gaming, his home for most of 2008 to EG.usa. This meant that one from EG.usa had to be dropped, and this came in the form of us Ryan "Ninespot" Bell, after team leader us Nazar "steno" Vynnytsky decided that he should be dropped.

Evil Geniuses organizational head Alex Garfield commented:

Steno is the leader of our team, both inside and outside of the game, and this is a decision he wanted to make. He has an extremely calculated approach to the teams he builds, and he wanted five players all capable of playing at an extremely fast pace while making quick decisions. Ryan is a fantastic player. He played extremely well for us on LAN and was also a very consistent presence overall, but Steno simply felt that in order to get to the play style he wanted, this change was necessary. The decision with Shaun didn't really happen before or after the decision with Ryan; as is always the case with roster changes in Counter-Strike, the two were essentially interconnected".

In exchange for Catron, MoB Gaming picked up us Scott "Evolution" Cavallero. MoB has moved us Matt "Lim" Beahan up to the starting five to fill a spot formally occupied by us Thomas "thoMz" Garcia who is inactive.

This leaves EG.usa as:

us Michael "chE" Guevara
us Shaun "Hostile" Catron
us Fadil "Nepo" Canovic
us Jordan "n0thing" Gilbert
us Nazar "steno" Vynnytsky

and MoB Gaming as:

us Scott "evolution" Cavallero
us Matt "Lim" Beahan
us Joe "perez" Perez
us Ryan "Pham" Pham
us Noah "Striker" Alvarado

Good Luck to both teams!

Zet in, Spawn out for SK Gaming

Posted by sxraz`` on the 5th of September 2008 at 11:14 AM in Team News.   45 Comments

The inevitable has come, swe Abdisamad "SpawN" Mohamed retires from gaming to take on a different role within the organisation and the much anticipated return of swe Markus "Zet" Sundström has followed suit.

"Zet" was previously attached to the us LA compLexity CS Source team and since leaving he has returned to play with some fimilar faces in swe Dennis "walle" Wallenberg and swe Robert "RobbaN" Dahlström. Zet has not played in high profile CS 1.6 competitions for almost two years and rejoins with the ambition to take the team higher.

zet commented:

Ever since I stopped playing for compLexity I've only had one thought in my mind, playing with my old team mates from NiP. They have all been playing for SK for a long time now, so for me it was obvious which team I really wanted to join. It is s a great honour to play under SK Gaming, probably the world's most successful multigaming organisation.

SK owner swe Andreas "bds" Thorstensson added:

SK Gaming wants to begin with thanking Abdi for everything he has done for us. Known to many as one of the best players in the history of Counter-Strike, with gold medals in most major tournaments. With this winner instinct and dedication we know that he will succeed what ever he decides to do next.

We are also very happy to welcome the prodigy Zet. One of the best players who took a break from 1.6 at his peak to focus on Source in CGS. Now back more hungry than ever, and back with his former team mates robban and walle.

SK is now:

swe Dennis "walle" Wallenberg
swe Robert "RobbaN" Dahlström
swe Kristoffer "Tentpole" Nordlund
swe Jimmy "allen" Allen
swe Markus "Zet" Sundström

GL for the future.

fleks takes CHEF-KOCHs place in Alternate

Posted by uk8Ball^- on the 5th of September 2008 at 9:09 PM in Team News.   6 Comments

de Alternate, one of the best German teams out there have today confirmed the addition of de Martin "fleks" Wehrmann to their squad.

fleks was a free agent after the disband of hoorai earlier this year, and had a 6 month stint at powerhouse's de mousesports. According to the statement, de CHEF-KOCH is stepping down to focus on his studies.

de Andreas "Chicken" Voss, former CEO of Alternate commented:

This was a decision made by the team, at the moment there are not many free players in Germany, Fleks already proved that he is among the best players in Germany, he had been on our list for several times and we have now finally completed the deal.It really depends on him - he has all the support he wants from our organisation, but if he wants to do something different we will also support him in that way. He was nearly two and a half years with attax and was always one of our key players - both inside and outside the game. He is a very charismatic person and we would love to see him staying with attax one way or the other.

Alternate is:

de Benjamin "pan" von Mulert
de Jan "mooN" Stolle
de Manuel "approx" Zeitz
de Roman "Roman R." Reinhardt
de Martin "fleks" Wehrmann

Alternate are currently competing in the German EPS. Good Luck to them!
