Strange FPS problem

Hello guys,

Im praying that one of you guys can help me with this strange fps problem i have been experiencing....basically i get nice constant 100fps for like 30seconds then it starts jumping between 30-60fps solid for the next minute then back to 100fps for 30seconds back to 30-60 etc....this is really pissing me off
its never done this before....
formatted recently about 1-2 months ago
done a scan with avira found nothing...
updated my gfx card as well didnt help....
thought ill add that i did spill a cup of tea on my laptop once about 6months ago but dried it off left it for 2 days and it worked.....

im out of ideas please someone help!!!!

laptop is a xps 4gig ram, 2.4 dual, 8600m gt safe

format it again, don't install any stupid anti virus programs. just drivers for hardware. It will fix it. Add anus programs individually at your leisure, testing for said drop in performance. kkthx:X

defo an overheating problem luke, I get it with mine, thats why i bought a desktop!!!
only thing u can do is, get amassive stand alone fan and aim it at the gfx card and download gamebooster

spend 300 quid on a half decent desktop, easily run most new games on goodish gfx
